Ibiza is an island for all seasons and the best time to practice SUP or water activities is off season, when the crowd has gone and the pace of the island has quieten down ! If you prefer Golf, visit the following website. Part of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza and its smaller sister island of Formentera are known as the "Islas Pitiusas" (from the Greek word "pitys" meaning pine tree) because of the abundance of pines that cover their landscapes.

A green and pristine setting surrounded by crystal clear waters and blessed by a balmy Mediterranean climate with sunny days and mild temperatures throughout the year. Winters are mild with temperatures around 15º Celsius (60º Fahrenheit) and some rain. The hot Summer season lasts from June to September, with lots of sunshine and hardly any rain, air temperatures easily reaching 30º C (85º F). Spring and Autumn are nice seasons for watersports and outdoor activities, with more wind and still agreeable water temperature, although a wetsuit will be necessary. Average water temperatures range for 15 to 27º Celsius

The island is also rich in history, going back to the Phoenicians, and offers plenty of opportunity for cultural visits, excursions and sightseeing. The old walled town of Ibiza and the narrow strait separating the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, are both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their cultural and natural values. A short 30 min. crossing away, Formentera is known as "The Last Paradise of the Mediterranean”.

Winters are mild with temperatures around 15º C (60º F) and some rain. The hot Summer season lasts from June to September, with lots of sunshine and hardly any rain, air temperatures easily reaching 30º C (85º F). Spring and Autumn are nice seasons for watersports and outodoor activities, with more wind and still pleasant water temperature - annual average water temperatures range from 15º to 27º Celsius (59 to 80º F). Air temperatures are higher during Autumn than during the Spring.

Rainfall is uneven and scarce. Prevailing winds are from the W-SW in winter, and from the E in summer, because of thermal depression over the centre of the Iberian Peninsula.
